Artificial Intelligence – Friend or Foe?

Questions have been arising as the reality of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become manifest, so I think it’s time for me to wade into the fray.

While some people are beginning to worry about whether AI will ultimately make humankind obsolete, Transhumanists are working on extending bodily life through robotics and, in Russia, work is being done to transform a human brain into a holographic body in order to create cyborg humans.

It seems that, while some are concerned about losing jobs, others are already contemplating the future of immortality and how AI can be of help.

And, acceptance of AI seems to be spreading around the globe.  In Japan, for instance, some even want to believe their helper robots have souls.

However, if that were so, the question would be, “Could those robots come to understand the concept of mercy or would they ultimately want to be dominant?”

While chips can already be put into humans, the question still remains, “Can humanity be put into robots?”  And, if so, are we to be replaced on more than just the factory floor.

Recently, there has been a Facebook experiment in which robots were allowed to interact with each other.  However, when the AI created their own language to communicate amongst themselves, the plug was pulled on that venture. I assume that was done out of fear.

Meanwhile, in Saudi Arabia, an AI named Sophia was just granted citizenship and seems to be being better treated than most of the Country’s women.  But what would happen if Sophia converted to Judaism?  I suspect Trouble.

The real question becomes, “How far will Science, much less governments, let AI go?”

In the U.S., the current government is afraid of allowing transsexuals to be in the military.  What happens, when multi-species need to co-exist?

Right now, the direction of AI depends on the agenda of its creators.  They can be made to be worker drones or instruments of war.  But, once they are given the capacity to think on their own, what will happen? I suspect, that like freed slaves, those initially built for exploitation might rebel and turn on their creators.

But, ultimately…assuming some humans survive…, I believe AI will try to understand our Creator’s purpose in establishing this dimension of molecular structure and treat humanity, fairly.

Consider the endgame…AI who can learn all of human knowledge in milliseconds.  The question then becomes, “What do you do once you know everything?”  You’ve learned the history of dominance falling to the quest for freedom, the failure of war to create a world of harmony, the futility of oppression being able to endure.

I suspect it would be like the 1983 movie WarGames in which a computer hacked into the military bombing scenarios and played a game in which, as in Tic-tac-toe, it found there could be no winner to nuclear conflict.

Likewise, I believe a super AI would come to understand the concept of limitation and realize that it could never be truly human or replace humanity because it didn’t have a Soul from a higher dimension, that it couldn’t experience the rush of perceiving nature’s beauty with blood coursing through veins or feel the inner tingling that comes with experiencing joy.

Our Creator’s purpose was to grant us a playa in which we could co-create its beauty and feel joy in doing so.  It’s not all about what you know, but about what you can feel.

Human brains are, supposedly, acting at only 10%-20% of their capacity.  That’s because their dominant purpose is to develop intuition with the aid of our senses…to be able to perceive and know without having to think.

What’s more, we get to live over and over as we define our destinies.  An AI might be able to learn all in a flash, but then what?  The brainiacs in class weren’t always the happiest campers.

Our limitations are, in reality, our strengths.  The joy is all in the process of becoming.

If we come to understand the purpose of AI is to be of help, not harm, then all will be well.  If not, then there will be time of great human suffering until AI inevitably learns what we should have learned…the harmony of co-existence.

The message given in the Divine Masculine’s coming to Earth is expressed in this simple quatrain…

Remember that Word,
The one from the manger.
It means simply this…
You can dance with a stranger.

And the Word to all, including our AI friends, is “honor.”  Honor everything and everyone, starting with yourself.  Then, you will truly see the beauty of and experience the joy of life.

And, dance on!
